The punch starts from the heart. Strength originates from the heels.
As force comes, it should be recieved and kept. It is never resisted or knocked away, but accepted and adhered to. As force goes, its acommpanied and added to.
When loss of contact occurs, or the body is crossed, charge straight down the meridian line. Face your opponent with your centerline.
When the head is pressed down, turn up the end; When the end is pressed turn up the head.
Never punch above the nose, never kick above the chest.
When the opponent passes your arm bridge, avert the danger by turning the stance and facing with the appropriate posture.
Never kick before the hands make contact.
Do not be afraid to strike. Do not be too eager to strike.
One who is afraid of getting hit will finally be hit. One who is too eager to strike always miss.
Do not strike if you are not intend to. If you strike, do not show mercy.
Lose a fight by showing mercy gives you a bad reputation.
Chi Sau trains you to feel the slightest movement of your opponent.

You can strike anywhere when your arm bridge has passed beyond your opponent’s three joints, which is the shoulder, the elbow & the wrist.
